Memorial Day!

Thanks to all those family members and all others that have fought for our country! We are so grateful for those sacrifices made for our freedom! Adam Moody, Jason Myers, Scott Chalmers!
For Memorial Day we enjoyed a day of relaxation after our camping trip...we slept in, laid around, went and hung out with Mat, Emily, Jason, Kyle, and Anthony for a few hours, and then came home and did some more laying around....(and for me updating the blog)!
(These pictures are backwards...but I'm ready for bed and don't want to change them...you'll figure it out!)
Chicken fights!

Memorial Day Weekend Camping Trip

We were invited to go camping with 5 other families this weekend! We had so much fun! There were a total of 33 people...we camped at Possum Kingdom State Park. We had the best location for the campsites...right on the water, there was a huge area with 5 camp sites right together and one down on the water! There were 2 jet ski's that people brought...all of the kids had other kids their age...we had such a great time with great company
The little kids hanging out on the hammock
Biscuits cooked by campfire. This was a super cool idea that one of the girls we went with does when they go camping. We wrapped biscuits around wooden dowels and cooked them over the campfire, then filled the inside with jelly or honey butter...they were delicious!
Addie got to hold Sarah...she was SO happy...I'm not quite sure how Sarah felt about it.
After the picture they were asleep in 5 minutes!

Jocelyn's First Dance...

It hardly seems possible that Jocelyn is old enough to be going to a dance...but it is true...Jocelyn finally went to her first dance...she had so much fun...and I was a chaperone for the dance so it was fun to see her out there dancing around having a blast!

Mom Run with Taylore

Mother's Day weekend we all (the girls) went to spend Friday night in Flower Mound with April...Saturday morning we went and ran in a race...

Addie with her friends
Field day...they were all in their gloves and glasses for the tug-o-war...
Field Day
Kindergarten field trip to the Fort Worth Zoo...all she wanted to see was the Orangatans and the Komono Dragon (I don't know the actual name...that is what Addie called it.)
Fourth Grade party at Sky Ranch...they had to be at school at 6:30 am...they rode charter buses two hours to this ranch with lots of different activities...and got home @ 9:00 pm...this was the same day as the Kindergarten field trip to the zoo...so I went to the zoo until 1:00 and then drove out to Sky Ranch for the rest of the day.
Taylore and Brooke at Sky Ranch
Jocelyn's swim meet...they train for six weeks and then have one swim meet...she placed 1st, 2nd, and 4th in three of her events...

Aaron had to go to Florida over the weekend of our anniversary...I ended up being able to go with him! We flew into Jacksonville (even though his meetings were in Orlando)...we went to Larry and Jessica's...went out to dinner with them at the Cheesecake Factory after going to pick up Larry from his office...
Then we got to go visit Camilla and Antonio....
Then we headed to St. Augustine Beach...
Sunday morning we headed to Palatka to visit Mammer...
Then we went to Orlando for Aaron to make it to his meetings...
Sunday night when Aaron was done working we went to Downtown Disney for dinner...we ate at Planet Hollywood...
All day Monday Aaron was working...I had finals the next week...so I spent the day by the pool....studying...this was my setup!
When we were done in Orlando we headed back to Jacksonville we spent some time with Malcolm and Vera and their family, and then went and spent the night at Larry and Jessica's...and we went to breakfast with them before heading home!
(Thanks to Mat & Emily for making it possible...they kept our kids!)

A Day at Baylor with Jason

All school year we talked about going down to Baylor to visit Jason...finally his second to last week of school we made it down to Baylor. We found out there was a baseball game going on that day...so we went to lunch at Olive Garden and then went to watch a Baylor Baseball game.

We had a garage sale for a Girl's Camp fundraiser...Jocelyn found this snazy outfit! Doesn't she look FABULOUS!

Easter Weekend

Over Easter weekend we went up to visit April...It was so much fun to hang out with April and Aubrey. April made a special dinner for us with no plates...the kids were shocked when April came up and plopped spaghetti on the tablecloth with no plates! They also had an Easter Egg Hunt. It was lots of fun!
All of the family came over for dinner on Easter...we also celebrated Papa's birthday!
Most of the kids spent the evening outside playing basketball!
Eventually everyone ended up outside watching them!

Over Spring Break we went down to Houston...First we saw the Arsenault's...we got to see Tanner play in a high school baseball game...we spent the night...and then we headed to Papa's house.
