Texas vs. Baylor Game!!

All the Moody boys were able to go to the Texas vs. Baylor game last weekend. They got up EARLY Saturday morning and drove away at 5:30 a.m. When they got down there they tailgated for a while...I've always wondered what exactly that means...for this group it meant...a couple of games...Haden riding the mechanical bull...(I realize that tailgating may mean something entirely different for a different crowd!) Then they headed into the game! They had a blast...thanks again to Mat for the awesome pictures...unfortunately...he wasn't in any of them...when I learn to photoshop we're going to photoshop him into one of them...Scott...you want to help me with that?
Awesome picture of the gang (minus Mat) in front of a fountain!
Aaron :)Jason :)
Isn't this an AWESOME picture of Kyle and Haden! I love it!
And my personal favorite...because I've always wanted to do this!

Quizzy the Rabbit

Haden was able to bring the class pet home last weekend. Here are the seven things that we learned in no particular order...
1. We love having pets at our house...(For the weekend)
2. Rabbits like eating LOTS of carrots!
3. Rabbits poop A LOT!
4. Addison is in love with anything that she can get her hands on...especially small house pets.
5. Did I mention that Rabbits POOP A LOT!!!!!!
6. Rabbits like to escape to small areas that are very hard to get...
7. Just in case I forgot to mention it...RABBITS POOP A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was fun to have him for a few days...the kids had fun with him...but I was glad to be able to take him back to the class on Monday!

Taylore's 3rd Grade Salute to America

***This one is dedicated to our family that has served our country!***
Happy (Late) Veterans day! We love you Larry, Adam, Scott & Jason!!! Thank you!!!
Taylore's 3rd Grade Program was An American Salute...It was very cool...they all wore red white and blue and sang lots of cool America songs. My favorite was when they sang all of the different songs that represent each branch of the military. While the song was being sung for each branch anyone that served in that branch was supposed to stand. It was really cool to hear everyone applauding the people that served. Taylore looked adorable; it was so much fun to go and watch her!
Taylore has adjusted so well to this move...she has already made lots of new friends and is loving her new school...(and missing her VA friends)!
Taylore and some of her friends!

It was really hard to get good pictures! Taylore is on the back row!

This is a very dark picture...but you get the idea...Taylore waving for the camera!

Mat...This One's For You!

The last couple of weekends Aaron has been wearing a BYU Jersey and Texas hat on Saturdays...we have been watching both games ever since we have lived here! Mat, Kyle and Jason are HUGE Texas fans...Mat and Emily have been teasing Aaron telling him that the reason he wears the Texas hat and the BYU jersey is because in his head he knows Texas in the #1 team, but in his heart BYU always will be! WELL...this weekend all the boys are going to the Texas vs. Baylor game...Aaron bought Haden a new Texas hat and shirt. When I went to tuck Haden in last night this is how I found him...fast asleep!

Happy Halloween!

So every year I tell myself that I'm going to head out early and get costumes for the kids...without fail...I don't do that...this year was no exception! But the kids ended up cute none the less! They had lots of fun...and had WAY too much candy! We started out down the street at one of the neighbors for a little Halloween get together...then Mat, Em, and Kyle came over for dinner (chilli & hot dogs)...we went over to their neighborhood and trick or treated for a little while...then back to our neighborhood to finish up. Then the kids and I headed back to the neighbors get together for a little bit. When Mat & Em got back to our house we all headed home and sent the kids up, bags of candy in tow, and put them in the media room with the Sofa bed pulled out (that was the best part for them) to watch Watchers in the Woods! (Larry, I even told them your favorite part ;)...the adults stayed downstairs and watched White Noise...I'm proud to say that I only covered my eyes for the last 20 minutes or so!
Jocelyn the blood squirting skeleton...(she had two things she was deciding between...maid in a little black dress or this...you see which one we went with)! ;)
Kyle...the spooky Scream Ghost!
Haden as Darth Vader!
Taylore...my beautiful Gothic Bride!
Addison...the pink poodle...go figure!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words!

Pumpkin Carving with Haden's 4th Grade Class

Aaron and I were both able to go help with Haden's pumpkin carving last week...Addison even got to join the party! It was fun seeing Haden with his friends from school!

My Birthday Party

My birthday party was a great day thanks to my family! I slept in a little bit...woke up to breakfast in bed...(again, our tradition)...went to Jocelyn's soccer game...I got lots of calls, but it was especially fun to hear from Teresa (my friend from Junior High) and Wendy (my friend from Washington)...two people I don't talk to very often. Then after the soccer game we hung out at the house most of the day relaxing! Then the family came over for dinner...Dickie's BBQ! YUMMY...and my favorite Costco (WAY TOO BIG FOR 12 people) birthday cake!

Hans & Mat

Goofy pictures...I know...but whenever we look at pictures people always comment that there aren't any of me...usually I'm the picture taker...hence no pictures of me...or maybe looking at these two pictures of me it's not because I'm the picture taker...it's because all pictures of me end up goofy! ;)

April had promised Addison that the next time she came to our house she would bring Tina...Addison was in heaven...Tina...not so much!

Notice the sign on the wall that the girls made for me! It was a great birthday!

Pumpkin Day @ Addison's Preschool

I got to go and be with Addison for Pumpkin Day at the preschool...It was so much fun. They had all kinds of activities all over the school that the kids rotated through...they stayed just long enough at each activity not to get bored...it worked out very well!
They started with story time and pumpkin pictures.
Then on to "Worship"...I think that's what they called it...they sang songs about Jesus...super fun hearing Addison sing all these cute little songs I've never heard before! Then they did some games...sack races and throw the ring around the pumpkin...Next was painting pumpkins...
Then the one that Addison was waiting for all day! The petting zoo! She had a blast...Addison's love of animals grows by the minute...she sat and talked to the man that brought the animals for a long time...she got all the animals names...and we even found out they throw birthday parties...hmmmm!
There were lots of other activities...but I think you get the idea! Fun Day!

Addison missing her friends...and keeping herself occupied

These were just some fun pictures I took of Addison...She was sitting talking on my cell phone to Lizzie, London and Emma...I could not resist taking a picture...I did not however take a picture of her bawling her head off after we hung up the phone saying that "she wants to move back to Virginia by Lizzie right now"!

Addie has just started finding things that really keep her busy playing by herself...I love the days when she finds something that keeps her occupied for long periods of time...so that I can get something done! Her most recent thing is her blocks...she loves building towns with her blocks, movie theaters, and houses for her animals!

Funny Stuff...

Two really funny things happened the night of Haden's last game...
First, Hans drove down from Flowermound to watch Haden's game. When he pulled in the driveway Taylore went running outside to greet him. She saw Hans cranking the window up with the good old hand crank...here is how the conversation went...
Taylore: What are you doing?
Hans: I'm rolling up my window.
Taylore: Wow, that must have cost a fortune. Haden come look it at this, it is so cool...
Then...when the game ended Hans was playing tag with the kids on the way out to the car. Somebody tagged me so I decided I would play along...we were running out towards the parking lot playing tag the whole way...well it was my turn to tag someone; I was after Addison; little did I know there was a huge mud puddle just before getting to the parking lot...BAM...I was on the ground in the mud puddle! It was rather funny...Hans helped me up...all the while trying his hardest not to bust into laughter! :) Taylore the rest of the night went on and on about...Mom, wasn't that fun; Mom, did you like getting muddy! Mom, I love getting dirty, did you like it? Mom, that was so much fun playing tag, did you have fun! It really was rather fun playing tag...and entertaining for everyone around watching me bust my tail in a mud puddle! (Too bad Aaron didn't get to witness it; he wouldn't have been so nice as Hans; he would have been on the floor rolling!)
