This morning at about 2:15 A.M. Aaron and I woke up to Addison in our bedroom saying something about putting water in our bed. I'm still not sure what the water in our bed was about. We heard a little bit of commotion in the hallway outside our bedroom and Aaron said, "The kids are out there playing." I got up to get check it out; Taylore comes running around the corner saying, "Jocelyn put shaving cream in my hair." Needless to say, because of the hour I was not too happy to see the girls out "playing April Fool's Pranks". I sent the girls to bed and lay in bed steaming that I'd been awakened at such an insane hour. I could not fall back asleep until about 4:30 A.M. I woke up at our typical hour thinking the girls knew that the middle of the night pranks were not funny and certainly there would be no more. When the alarm went off (much too early due to the lack of sleep) I came downstairs to blue food coloring in Aaron's water bottle, a cup with "yellow water" (hmm...I wonder what that was supposed to be), my yummy yogurt had been turned the color of blood, Aaron told me that there had been tape put in the sprayer for the kitchen sink, he was sprayed when he turned the water on. All of this was apparently done before the awakening of the parents at 2:15 A.M. I proceeded to make Aaron some lunch, while Taylore woke up Jocelyn, apparently Jocelyn realized that I was cooking and Taylore came running downstairs yelling, "Don't use the salt shaker, it's sugar" (I guess they figured out that at that point the April Fool's was not that funny to me). Luckily they caught me before I had added salt. After a LONG morning, once the kids had left for school, the more I thought about it and told Jessica about it, I started thinking it was a little funny (just a little). I decided that it was time to retaliate. Jessica and I decided we would fake the break down of the automobile on the way to Young Women, Cub Scouts, Activity Days tonight.
On the way to the church Jessica pretended that the car broke down, Jocelyn, Haden, Taylore and I all got out to walk home and get the car; Jessica waited a few minutes and then turned the car around and yelled out the window as she passed, "April Fool's". It was a fun little way to end the evening.
P.S. - When I asked Jocelyn what time they had gotten up, she responded with "1:09 A.M." :( For the record; there will be better retaliation next year when I'm not lacking my precious sleep! Watch out!

Thats pretty funny stuff. Paul and I got a kick out of it. I'm pretty sure my kids might die if they ever wake me up at 2 in the morning... hehe
Oh my goodness that is crazyness. I dread when my children figure out how to do that to me...
Okay, so me and Sean are laughing our heads off! That is hilarious. Can't wait to see what goes on in your house next year!!!
When I was pregnant with Kyo I called Sean and told him my water broke...lol. AT least I thought it was funny.
So, that really is the funniest thing ever! I am sitting in the office by myself about to roll on the floor with laughter-they are quite the creative bunch you have there!
I am so brain dead. I was thinking you were talking about St. Patrick's Day, not April Fool's. I have to agree with everyone else that it was a super funny post!
